Which one is right for you? – A guide to the best bed

  • Written by Modern Australian

Shopping for a bed is one of the hardest and most time-consuming things to do in this day in age, and there are so many options and types of beds, mattresses, and accessories.  It can be, pardon the pun, nothing short of exhausting.  Our bed is one of the most important decisions we can make as it is where we spend most of our downtime and self-care time, so shopping for a new bed can be quite daunting to even the most seasoned shopper.

There are many things we need to take into consideration before committing to a particular bed and mattress, and this guide will help you with these decisions before even thinking of going bed or mattress shopping.

In Canada, there are two main common types of beds – we shall be putting them head to head against each other to see what both offer in benefits when buying them and to help you make up your mind as to which one is the best for your home.  Douglas vs Endy – which is the right one for you?

Endy Mattress – The Benefits

This mattress is a memory foam mattress which is one of the leading most common mattresses in Canada.

Comfort & Firmness – This product is known as a medium-firm mattress.  It is very popular for those that like a bit of bounce in their mattress and do not like it to be too firm.  Due to it being memory foam, it benefits from low motion transfer, which means that it reduces the movement in the bed when turning or moving.  It also transfers air, so it helps cool down those lying on it.

Materials – It is made up of three types of memory foam.  All three combine to make the most comfortable sleep of your life.

Cooling – One of the main benefits of this mattress is the memory foam allows it to keep the body cool and comfortable throughout the night, giving you a very relaxing and comfortable sleep all through the night.

Douglas Mattress – The Benefits

This mattress is very different from the Endy, so read on for the reasons why we think it could be the mattress for you.

Comfort & Firmness – This product is known as a medium mattress which is much softer.

Materials – Very similar to the Endy mattress, nothing new to discuss.

Cooling – Again, the same as the Endy mattress so there is nothing new to discuss.

Which is the best mattress for me?

Both the Endy and Douglas Mattresses offer different, solid benefits to buying them for your home.  They both offer memory foam, comfortable mattresses, which will not only give you a good night’s sleep but a very peaceful night’s sleep.

The only real difference is the cost at this stage and the firmness.  Ask yourself what you are wanting in your mattress and take it from there.
