Money-Management Tricks That Will Make You Wealthier

  • Written by Hellen McAdams

Having more money often times don’t need to correlate to landing bigger paycheck. It’s true however that regular salary if most of the times main source of income for everyone, but knowing how to manage your money can get you a long way in terms of being able to provide and to achieve more with less.

In this article, we will give you a couple of neat tricks you might want to resort to in order to optimize your spendings and to ultimately deepen your pockets.

Recognize Budget Pain Points and Know How to Remedy Them

Every budget has its own pain points and leakages. Whether we’re talking about a certain amount of money we’re paying to the banks every month because of the loan we previously took from the bank, or we’re talking about lots of spendings on things we don’t really use - we should put pen to paper and see how we can remedy the situation.

According to Finder, Australia’s household debt is among the highest in the world and ratio of household debt to income had almost doubled during the last 20 years. Keeping this in mind, there is a great chance that your family is also caught in this debt whirlwind and that you’re struggling with paying it off.

Going further, knowing that the situation is not that bad and that there certainly is a way out is a good start. For instance, if you took more than one loan and now you’re paying off several loans with differing interest rates on a monthly basis, you might consider going for either of these options:

  1. Consolidate entire loan so you can pay off one uniform interest rate for an entire loan. Debt Busters might help with this one.
  2. Make sure to prioritize paying off debts with highest interest rates first. Then use the remainders and the extra money you will be left with to pay off smaller debt portions with lower interest rates accompanied.

Optimize Spendings and Cut Loose Ends

Are you also a victim of impulsive buying? Do you go with your little ones to the supermarket and spend money you didn’t plan to spend? If ‘’yes’’ is the answer to both questions above than you might want to consider optimizing your spending a bit in order to save a buck or two on an everyday basis. And if you’re thinking that those savings are truly negligible and that they won’t affect your budget in the long run - you would be pretty surprised to see how much all those little savings account for when they all add up.

Once again, writing everything down and making lists of things and expenses that you have on a monthly basis will help you project your budget and will indicate if you’re spending more then you actually need. Try to cut every loose end your budget has.

What to Do With Extra Cash?

Finally, talking about ways how to multiply extra cash you’re left with is also important. There is really thousands of ways you can invest your money in order to make some more out of it. Whether we’re talking about investing in physical commodities or investing in starting a gig on the side in terms of brick and mortar or on the online company - each one of us should see what works best for him.

As there is no secret formula for success, being able to start over and try again every time we fail with our plan will ultimately result in success. Determination is the key.

We’ll give you just a couple of solutions you might want to consider doing:

  1. Start a gig on the side that will work as an additional source of revenue
  2. Make an online store for your homegrown products (if you have any), run a blog or a Youtube channel
  3. Invest in cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds or even foreign currencies
  4. Buy something that you’ll be able to rent in the future (real estate in the touristic area for example)
  5. Lend excess money to the bank.
