It feels like you have got the brief wrong. You have not. Sleep-related gifts are the highest-value and highest-risk category on the table, because it is the thing the parents care most about and the thing most easily got wrong.

Traditional wrapping works by pinning the arms down so the startle cannot happen, which is effective and also, for a decent proportion of babies, deeply objectionable.
