3 Best Robot Vacuums For Carpet

  • Written by NewsServices.com

If you have a lot on your plate – from work and your social life to family obligations and more – the last thing you need to worry about is cleaning. Luckily, you can enlist the services of a robot vacuum to lighten your load and manage the debris piling up on your floors.

A traditional vacuum requires time, energy, and you to navigate it. A robot vacuum will take off on its own and pick up the slack until you have an opportunity for a deep clean. There are many on the market, but we narrowed it down to just three – the three best robot vacuums for carpets. You may know that robot vacuums often struggle to navigate carpet, but not these selections! They're the best of the best and are in a similar price range.

  1. 360 Smart Life S10

The beauty of the 360 Smart Life S10 is it does a great job on carpet, but it's also a high-performer on hardwood too. It sweeps, it mops, and it vacuums. And if you need a buddy to tackle high pile carpets, then the S10 can do the job.

Despite having one of the most powerful robot vacuum batteries on the market, it is quiet in use. You can choose from four suction modes depending on the dust and dirt levels in your home. With a three-hour continuous cleaning battery life, you can rest assured it will complete its clean cycle before it returns to its charging station. It provides a 500ml dust bin, as well as a 520ml mop tank.

Another important point to note is the S10 provides stellar navigation. It features 3D lasers to determine whether it can squeeze through or under an obstacle as it approaches and can detect an item as small as 0.4". There's a laser to detect the objects directly in front of it, walls to its side and furniture height so it knows whether it can slide under. When it detects an obstacle it will reroute. It's easy to use and can switch from damp mopping and dry vacuuming with ease. It auto detects carpeting to ensure it is vacuumed rather than mopped. And you can pre-program scheduled cleaning times, as well as make a digital map of your home to create barriers.

You can program up to ten floor plans with its multi-level map memory and create specific zones with the app. You can use the fully developed app to maximise the features on offer. You may feel overwhelmed initially, but there is a wide range of customisation options available once you get to grips with navigating the app. And you can use the app to send the S10 off to clean a specific room. You can also use the app to create no-go zones, label rooms and designate them as areas to mop or vacuum, and input a specialised carpet cleaning, such as vertical or horizontal. The app also provides a full cleaning history report to show how many obstacles were avoided and what happened throughout the cleaning cycle.

  1. iRobot Roomba S9+

When the first Roomba hit the market it was one of the only options, but now there are dozens of brands and a staple across many households. The S9+ might adhere to the same principles as the original iteration, but it's wildly different in terms of high-tech features and power.

First of all, it's self-emptying so you don't need to shake it out and create a mess. The bag capacity is 440ml which covers around a month worth of cleaning, which is ideal for anyone who hates dealing with more regular empties. It captures 99% of dust mite allergens, pollen and mould, which is a boon for allergy sufferers. It also offers a handy mapping system so it won't retread old ground it has already cleaned. It is, however, one of the most expensive robot vacuums on the market.

  1. Roborock S7

Whether you have a high pile or low pile carpet, the Roborock S7 stands up to meet the challenge. And it's also a great performer on hard flooring as well so you have a dual-performer. It can store multiple maps, features a spot clean button, and integrates with home smart systems.

The drawbacks include a poor battery life when compared to other options on the market and the auto-empty dock is known for clogging.

Robot Vacuums Australia

Ultimately, the right robot vacuum for you will depend on the size of your home, the size of your budget, and whether you are looking to cover carpets and hard flooring or one or the other. If you have pets, you will need an extra reliable robot vacuum to deal with hair, dander and the debris they carry in from the outside, so bear that in mind on your shopping journey.
